Board Members

Richard Sidney, President and Director, Yanyeidi Representative

Mr. Sidney represents the Yanyedi Clan on the TTI Board of Directors and also serves as the President of TTI.

Mr. Sidney is a past Chief and negotiator for the Teslin Tlingit First Nation. He is very active in his community and sits on various boards and committees for his Clan as well as the Teslin Tlingit Council.  Mr. Sidney was born and raised in Teslin.


 Kelly Morris, Vice President and Director, Ishkitan Representative

Ms. Morris sits on the Board of Directors representing the Ishkitan Clan. She moved to Teslin from Dawson and has been actively involved in the community since 1990. Currently she runs a community business with her husband.

Ms. Morris enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and husband on the Teslin Tlingit Traditional Territory.


Lori Joe, Director and Kukhhittaan Representative

Ms. Joe represents the Kukhhittaan Clan on the Board of TTI. She is an active participant in her community, enjoys camping and hunting, and is best known for the smile on her face.


Delores Jackson, Director and Deishitan Representative

Ms. Jackson represents the Deshitaan Clan on the Board of TTI. She currently lives in Whitehorse so she can be close to her children and grandchildren. Ms. Jackson enjoys actively working with elders.


Carl Smarch, Director and Daklawedi Representative

Mr. Smarch represents the Dakhlawedi Clan on the Board of TTI. He was born and raised in Teslin and is very active in the community. Mr. Smarch is a past entrepreneur and enjoys truck driving, being on the land with his family, camping and hunting.

Stephen Phillips   Secretary and Legal Counsel

Mr. Phillips has extensive experience as a corporate lawyer, working with all aspects of private and public companies. He has worked throughout his career on all different aspects of real estate law and has accumulated many years of experience focused on commercial purchase and sales law. Mr. Phillips is well versed to working with First Nations Development Corporations and has provided legal counsel to the Yukon Indian Development Corporation, the Kaska Corporation, Tle’Nax T’awei Inc. as well as to the Teslin Tlingit Council as a government.
